MARCH NEWS & FEATURES

QUICK UPDATE:

You might remember I was lucky enough to have had my work featured in the last issue of Capture, Australia's Top Selling Pro Photography Magazine. Well they approached me again to include an additional image in the current Mar/Apr issue.

It's only one image - The Show's Over - but pretty cool nonetheless.









The magazine went on sale a few days ago and can be seen on newsstands across Australia.

It's a nice little magazine if you're interested in getting into the industry and starting out as an Assistant. Plenty of helpful articles and inspiring stories. And they're always looking for 'New Talent' so send your best work to marcgafen@yaffa.com.au.

Any other Assistants out there by the way???

Would love to know who you're working with and any tips or tricks for picking up extra work. Work for me continues to trickle in and I've been lucky enough to work with Blue Fish Productions and the award winning Mark Monro in recent weeks.

I've recently submitted the above image into the 2008 Kodak Salon Competition & Exhibition. Will let you know if I get lucky. :)

I stumbled across this guy a while back and was blown away. His mix of strong ideas and impressive Photoshop work is outstanding. He even includes links to walk you through the making of his images. What's even better is that most of his work needs nothing more than a little imagination and lots of creativity - the kind of thing you can set up against an empty wall or messy bedroom next time you're bored.
